Easy Drawing of Krishna With Colour
Krishna is a major Hindu deity. He is revered as Vishnu's eighth avatar as well as the supreme God in his own right. He is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love, and he is one of the most popular and widely worshipped Indian deities. Every year on Krishna Janmashtami, according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar, Hindus celebrate Krishna's birthday, which falls in late August or early September on the Gregorian calendar. Krishna Leela refers to anecdotes and narratives about Krishna's life. Devotees of Lord Krishna and even others may like to draw him. Here we have provided an easy guide on How To Draw God Krishna.
Lord Krishna appears in the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata Purana, the Brahma Vaivarta Purana, and the Bhagavad Gita, and is mentioned in numerous Hindu philosophical, theological, and mythological texts. They portray him in a variety of roles, including god-child, prankster, model lover, divine hero, and universal supreme being. His iconography reflects these legends, depicting him as an infant eating butter, a young boy playing the flute, a young boy with Radha or surrounded by female devotees, or a friendly charioteer offering advice to Arjuna.

Materials required:
- Drawing paper
- Sharp Pencil
- Eraser
Step 1: Outline the face
We will first outline the face of God Krishna. First, draw curves to outline the hair. Towards the right, draw the ear. Inside the ear, draw curves to make it look realistic. We will draw a triangular face. Starting from the left, draw a triangular face ending below the ear.
Step 2: Draw the hair
Lord Krishna has long thick hair which is tied into a bun. Over the hair outline that we have drawn, draw curves one above the other. Join them on the left side. This will make the thick bun of the lord. On the left side of the face, draw hair. The hair extends to the chin. On the ear, draw a ring.
Step 3: Add a feather to the hair
Towards the right of the hair, we will add a feather. On either side of the feather, draw a few curves. Now draw hair on the right of the face. Extend this to the chin of God Krishna.
Step 4: Add jewellery
Below the face, draw two lines on either side. This will make the neck. Now we will draw two necklaces. For the first one, draw small circles one next to the other. For the other necklace, first, draw a curved line. In the centre of the line, draw a circle. Under the line, draw small semi-circles one next to the other. Under the circle drawn, draw a semi-circle with zig-zag lines all over. Towards the right, we will draw a curved line for the shoulder.
Step 5: Add garland
We will now add the garland on God Krishna. Draw the garland using curve zigzag lines. This should start from one side of the neck and end on the other side of the neck. Inside this, using similar curved zig-zags, draw lines at a good distance from each other. Close to the mouth, draw a flute. For this, we will draw two vertical lines near the mouth.
Step 6: Draw the hand
We will now draw the fingers holding the flute. Draw the hand first. Now draw the index finger upwards. The middle finger is on the flute. The ring finger and the little finger are upwards. We will draw the shoulder towards the left.
Step 7: Add details on the face
On the face, we will draw the eyebrows and the nose. For the eyebrows, we will draw two curves on either side of the face. For the nose, draw a line. Under this, draw a curve. This makes the nose of Lord Krishna. We will also add a tilak on the forehead. For the tilak, draw two lines on the forehead. On the lower side, join them using a curve. Draw another small line inside the tilak.
Step 8: Draw the lips
On the face, we will now draw the lips. For this, draw three lines. These lines should not be straight. Draw slightly curved lines. Under the lips, draw a line.
Step 9: Complete your drawing
We will now add a few details to complete the drawing of God Krishna. First, draw the eyes. Below the eyebrows, draw two curved lines. Under this, draw another curved line; curved downwards. Between the second and the third line, draw a circle. Draw a dot inside the circle. Using a blunt pencil, shade and highlight where necessary. Refer to the image below to clearly understand how your diagram needs to look after it is completed. You can also use colours to fill in your lord Krishna diagram. Use your creativity and enhance your drawing.
